TERMS AND CONDITIONS


Ř       Reservations and Payment

All reservations will be secured for you upon receipt of a completed and signed RESERVATION FORM, together with a 20% deposit per person, of the total cost of the tour. Once we receive the signed RESERVATION FORM and your deposit, an invoice for the total cost of the tour reflecting your deposit payment will be mailed to you. Credit cards (Visa/Mastercard/Amex & Discover) are accepted for the 20% deposit only. The balance of the cost of the tour should be paid by check, not less than 90 days prior to departure. All our prices are quoted in U.S. dollars and must be paid in U.S. dollars.

Ř       Fluctuation of Currencies and Pricing

No allowance has been made by us to cover currency fluctuations, which are out of our control. It may be necessary for us, at times, to adjust our tour prices to cover any shortfall resulting from exceptional exchange rate fluctuations.

Ř       Cancellation/Refunds

Africa Easy requires notification in writing in the event of cancellation of reservation. Upon receiving this notification the following penalties will apply:

90 days or more prior to departure:   $250.00 per person

                        60 – 89 days prior to departure:        20% of tour price

                        45 – 59 days prior to departure:        50% of tour price

                        1 - 44 days prior to departure:          100% of tour price

Ř       Sharing Accommodation

Even though all our prices are per person, double occupancy, you may request single occupancy and we will accommodate where possible.  There will be an add-on of 50% for the single supplement unless otherwise stated.

Ř       Insurance Coverage

Insurance against cancellation and interruption due to illness or loss of baggage while you are traveling and on tour is of great importance for you and we strongly recommend you purchase travel and medical insurance for your own protection against any emergency which may arise forcing you to cancel or leave the tour before completion.

Ř       Tour Changes or Cancellation

We, Africa Easy, can at any time cancel a tour due to problems such as wars and strikes or an act of God, or circumstances that may make the tour inadvisable or impossible to operate. This cancellation policy would also apply if too few participants have signed up for any one tour. In this event, all payments received for the tour would be refunded immediately, as full and final settlement of all further liability of any nature. This refund would not include any expenses you, the client, would have incurred in preparation for the tour.

We also reserve the right to change any tour itinerary, lodge/camp or hotel at any time and would inform anyone signed up for the specific tour/safari at the soonest possible time. Africa Easy accepts no liability for changes, omissions or delays before or during the course of any published tour occasioned by weather conditions, strikes, technical difficulties or communication breakdowns.

Ř       Breakaway from Tour

Any tour participant wishing to breakaway from the scheduled tour at any time after departure may certainly do so. However any extra expenses incurred as a result of the breakaway will be for the tour participant’s own account and any unused service will not be refunded.

Ř        Unused Services: No refunds will be made for no-shows or any unused services.

Ř       Travel Documents

Obtaining all travel documents and ensuring that the documents you have are valid and current is the responsibility of the client and not Africa Easy. This applies to passports, visas, inoculations and vaccinations and all else required.

Ř       Responsibility and Liability

Hotels, Lodges and all accommodations undergo renovations from time to time. They do take all possible steps to limit disruption to their guests. We cannot entertain complaints or requests for refunds, if a facility is carrying out renovations whilst a guest is resident.

Ř        Africa Easy accepts no responsibility or liability whatsoever for any loss, damage, injury, accident, delay or any other irregularity howsoever arising.

Ř       Accepting Clients

It is our right to decline any individual, for any reason whatsoever as a tour participant.

Ř       Limitations of Liability

With regard to all our tours/safaris, Africa Easy states in this paragraph our responsibility.

Africa Easy and the owner, Nadia Eckhardt, and employees act only as the agent for all contractors supplying services such as charter flights, transportation and all other travel services related to our tours/safaris. We are not responsible in any way whatsoever for loss or damage to property and injuries to a participant on our tours/safaris.

Ř        Tour Participant’s Acknowledgement

The prospective tour participant having reserved a tour and paid the necessary deposit acknowledges that she/he has read and understands the aforementioned Terms and Conditions and agrees to be bound by them.
