Dear African Adventurers,
Here is hoping you have had a very lekker (good) year with lots of fun
travels around the globe. We have
been keeping ourselves busy here at
Africa Easy and are delighted that so
many of you went on your first-ever
African safari this year and that a
number of you ventured back for
another Africa experience.
The game viewing and sightseeing
this year has been superb. Each safari,
whether it be a custom-designed
trip with family or friends or an exclusive
small group tour to Botswana,
South Africa, Namibia or Zambia, is
quite unique. I, too, had the pleasure
of leading a private family safari this
year to Sabi Sabi, Selati Camp (one
of my favorites) and then on to some
exclusive private camps in Botswana.
We want to thank those who traveled
with Africa Easy in 2007 and for the
wonderful e-mails, comments, and
pictures many of you have sent to us.
We are pleased to feature in this newsletter
a fantastic photo taken by Beau &
Pearl Pinkerton from their private
South Africa trip in October to Cape
Town on the Blue Train, Phinda Private
Game Reserve (see the cheetah
pic above), Lion Sands Private Reserve,
Sabi Sabi, near Kruger National Park,
and Tswalu Kalahari Reserve.
Looking to 2008, we have a lot of
great plans ahead. First off, I am
happy to announce that Karen Gruber
will be joining Africa Easy on a more
permanent basis. Some of you may
know her from Zegrahm Expeditions
or perhaps have spoken with Karen in
the office while I’ve been away traveling
in Africa. We have put together
a number of group departures of our
most popular itineraries for next year.
Please access our Africa Easy 2008 Travel Calendar for more information or don't hesitate to call us at 800-617-2319.
I will be leading
the Africa Easy Signature Southern
Africa trip in November, as well as
the Best of South Africa trip departing
in July. If you have not yet
done a safari to Southern Africa, now
is the chance to explore my home
town of Cape Town with me
and then head off on safari to
Botswana, finishing off at
the mighty Victoria Falls
or on a safari around South
Africa. We are
also offering some exciting Madagascar,
Namibia and South Africa group
tour departures in 2008 as well as
one of my all-time favorites led by
my star South African guide, Ella Bauer,
around South Africa and Swaziland.
And here is a little tidbit if you are
venturing back to Africa, give Zambia
a thought and/or Namibia! I plan on
co-leading a Namibia Classic safari in
2009, as well as a Zambia program in
the Lower Zambezi and South
Luangwa regions with a pre-extension
to Malawi. New too for 2008 and
2009 is an option to do an exclusive
private mobile camping safari to
Kenya or a custom-designed driving
trip around Tanzania and Zanzibar.
Once again, thanks for choosing
Africa Easy for your travel plans. We
are always excited to share our enthusiasm
for Africa to help you plan
the adventure of a lifetime. Wishing
you a very happy and healthy New
Year!
Best wishes,

Nadia Eckhardt |
